Facility – 40099 Sunflower Oil Road Mitchell, NE
Our facility is a family owned feed mill located at 40099 Sunflower Road in Mitchell, Nebraska. This plant was purchased by Eric and Jackie McManaman in 2010 and was quickly put into production under the name of Platte Valley Ag Products, Inc. (PVAP).
Many improvements have been made to the facility over the past few years, but the heart of the production capability still revolves around alfalfa hay, grains, and all natural protein sources.
Our facility provides adequate warehouse space to store finished products in an all weather environment. Our Office & Store location is on site adjacent to the warehouse facility to best serve our customers.
Locally Grown, All Natural, High Quality Ingredients
All of the products used in this plant meet all natural criteria. PVAP has not, and will not use non-protein nitrogen (NPN) sources for its protein sources.
Thus, contamination of feedstuffs by these NPN products is virtually impossible. Additionally, there are no medicated drug premixes on the premises.
For special requests contact the office at (308) 623-1069 and ask for Eric or Ryan.

Eric is a graduate of Kansas State University (GO CATS!), with a degree in Animal Science and Industry from the College of Agriculture. He’s been involved in the livestock industry since the age of 16 when he purchased his first herd of cattle.
He gained additional experience working as a consultant for a large animal health/pharmaceutical company serving the Southwest Kansas area.
PVAP’s mission statement is simple but very important:
- Provide high quality products that meet customer’s requirements.
- Provide products at a competitive price.
- Provide exceptional customer service and give personal attention to each and every customer.
Our company is based on Christian principles that Jackie and Eric firmly believe in which include honesty, integrity, and fairness to all individuals. A phone call to our company will put you in touch with an owner or direct representative of our company and the buck stops here. As PVAP grows, we will offer a larger product line and additional services. We owe this entirely to the commitment of our valued customers.
